One question we always get is “What soil do you use?”. Since even before Salty Acres was a thing, we have created our planting/soil mixture using Black Kow. It’s easy to find at your local Lowes or Home Depot. We may add in different additives depending on what plant we’re working with, but our base always stays the same. We always use:
1/3 parts peat moss
1/3 parts Black Kow
1/3 parts pine bark mulch
